Who: Strong sexy ladies, soft sweet vixens, cute enough to cuddle with, too wild to tame
What: Spending time out and about, breaking a few rules, but not any laws- just wild enough to have fun, and make some memories. Pictures help if it’s *too* wild!
Where: At a bar, in someone’s back yard, at the river
When: Nighttime, when it’s cool enough to be outside
Why: Because no matter how sweet a wild thing looks, you must always remember, we aren’t meant to be tamed!

Not So Wild Places

Y’all know I live in a teeny town in Kentucky, with very very little night life- churches galore, a bar or two, lodges…So sometimes we gather together for wine at a friends house, just for conversation and to mix and mingle. Occasionally this happens on my back patio. Just a few chairs, a little fire pit, and the lightning bugs.In addition, you have heard the stories about the raccoons, and the deer eating every blasted thing I try and grow-vegetables and flowers alike-but you realize I don’t actually live in the country. There’s just critters here!

Not So Wild People

Generally things around here don’t get too wild. Although I have neighbors, I respect their sleep schedules and they respect mine. We keep the music down when it gets late, we talk quietly among ourselves, the dancing and laughing and drinking calms down…and eventually the company leaves, unless I’m keeping a lover for the night. Sometimes it’s just a special friend, sitting and talking until nearly dawn. And sometimes if we just lean back and sit quietly, magical things happen.

Where the Wild Things Are

The true wild things come out to play, such as this little fawn! I was sitting not four feet away from it, and was beside myself thinking it’s mama was “gone” and the poor little thing was on it’s own. I just didn’t know how I was going to help it if it was orphaned and hungry. Come to find out, if mama is nearby, she will snort and stomp like a stallion to scare a person half to death so we leave her baby alone!

Moral of the story? Not sure there is one! It was just a good weekend for me, for Greg, and for the wild things in my back yard!
