What a crazy month July was! Thank you all for spending some time with me during my anniversary with LDW- it’s been an awesome journey! Besides playing with y’all, I was also busy last month doing some research into becoming a real estate agent, and think that is something I will be pursuing as the summer leaves us- I know I don’t want to get trapped in a classroom while it is still bathing suit weather! I’ve thought about taking this step for several years now, maybe longer. A family member is a realtor, and I always thought it was something I would be interested in – helping people find the perfect home to make their memories in. The thing that tipped me over the edge in making this decision was visiting places to see about “flipping” a property. The agent who I was talking to while investigating the possibilities is a good friend, and she mentioned that despite the initial investment to be licensed and all that, it is a potentially lucrative field to go into. So, the decision has been made, although no properties have been found to invest in yet.
Discovering a Secret Sissy
Can you imagine the absolute fun I can have as a real estate agent? Seriously, as much as I call myself the “kinder, gentler Mistress” at nearly 5’9″ I’m already taller than average, but add some stunning heels, and put my hair up, and I can be quite…well, impressive. I was a real estate agent once, and every Tues. we all (from our office) went on a tour of all the recent new listings. So this one time we all went into this one house and down into the basement – all across the ceiling, wall to wall was lingerie on clotheslines. David- I actually think I am leaning more towards flipping than becoming an agent. I think designing/renovating the type of home I would enjoy would really be a rewarding use of my creativity, plus I could learn whole new things about construction! There are plenty of agents out there to find a buyer who would love a home I have for sale, and also just enough financing available to me personally so as to make it absolutely worth while.
